Button/Switch Replacement
Headphone repair
Radio/cd/dvd issues
Update (2/6/2025): still have outstanding repairs, & will remain closed for a few more months
At the moment, I still have several items that need to be worked on. Even after finishing those, Ypsi/Arbor Electronics will be closed for several months due to other goals and responsibilities. I’m currently expecting to reopen in mid/late summer. Thanks for your patience.
About Us
I offer affordable electronics repair in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area. I have
a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Eastern Michigan University, and much of my professional work has been electrical and repair oriented. I also have a long history of repairing my own electronics, as well as for friends and family.
I work on a wide range of electronic devices, not limited to the following:
• Headphones (Bose, Beats, Sennheiser, Sony, etc.)
• USB port replacement
• Small Appliances
• PCs/Laptops (port & screen replacement, not software/BIOS issues)
• DVD/CD Players & Radios
• TVs (50″ or smaller) – no backlight replacements or glass removal
Scroll to the bottom for a more detailed list. If you have a faulty device, just ask!
However, I do NOT currently service the following:
• Smartphones (Apple, Android)
• Tablets (Apple, Android, Amazon, Samsung, etc.)
• Computer SSD/HDD replacement or software/registry cleanup
• Data recovery
There are other shops in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area that are much more familiar with those devices and services.

rates
I charge an initial diagnosis/inspection fee of $20 (per device), and then $20 per hour after that, plus the cost of parts. Some small issues can be fixed within inspection/diagnosis without extra labor charge.
Typical repairs cost between $40 and $100, but each job is different. If I cannot fix the device, or if you choose not to go through with the repair, I just charge the diagnosis/inspection fee ($20).
